Upset Amy

I could hardly wait to color this one up, #2700 Upset Amy, by Sandra Caldwell of BabyCakesDND! Don't you just feel like this sometimes?
The tag was colored with Distress Oxides then sprayed with a bit of sparkle. I added some BoBunny Glitter Paste through a stencil. Another chipboard quote and a few Nuvo drops finished off this page.

Thanks for visiting! I really appreciate any comments you find the time to leave for me.

Poe Appreciation Day #4

Since I got a late start for this challenge, I will post two times today for the Poe Appreciation Day blog hop over at Leigh SB Designs. I am using the Tangled Dark Raven image twice today, as I really like the tangled bits.
I started with a partial journal page, added some Distress Oxides and some stenciling using a Jane Davenport stencil. The image was colored with the Jane Davenport watercolor brushes and colored pencils. I added some white splashes and some Washi tape from my stash. I finished with white gel pen and a final blending with the Oxides.

Thanks so much for your visit.
I love reading your comments.

Happy Halloween

The theme for October over at the Oddball Art Challenge is Happy Horrors. Perfect for this time of year! The sweet girl, fussy cut after coloring with Prismacolor colored pencils, came from Oddball Art. (Big Eye Girl Eve Has Something To Say) The rest of the images came from a set by Hampton Art. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions, Tomb Sweet Tomb. (Out of stock.)
I did a journal page in my Paper Blanks book with lots of Distress Oxide inks, some splatters, stamping, and gel pen. The dark shadows were created with a Stabillo pencil. I popped the sentiment up for some dimension and added a few heart embellishments.

Thanks for looking! I really enjoy any comments you have the time to leave. If you are interested in my cardmaking, click here.

Art Journal Fairy Wishes

So, where have I been you might ask? Well, it looks like nobody visits this blog, so my focus has been on cards. Yet, the most popular blog of the three I have was my Zentangle blog. Loads of visitors, but I tired of doing it. I have done many art journal pages over the past year, just not posted. But, today, I thought I might just start putting them here again.
I got a set with stencil and stamps with some magazine a long time ago. Sorry, I don't remember which magazine or the issue, but I wanted to play with some gold embossing through a stencil. The background and stamping were done with Distress Oxide inks. I added paint pens, shimmer pen, and white gel pen to liven things up a bit.

If you found your way here, thanks for the visit!
